Coinbase Pro Officially Announces Support For Graph (GRT) Token

Coinbase, one of the top cryptocurrency exchanges based in the United States has revealed in a blog post that its trading platform Coinbase Pro has added trading support for the Graph (GRT) token the Ethereum-based token. GRT is now available in the list of supported digital assets and is accessible to users for trading.

As per the official blog post of Coinbase published recently, users of the Coinbase Pro exchange are allowed to make inbound transfers of the GRT token and start trading with it. Trading of GRT got enabled on the 17th of December when the exchange made this listing announcement. Users would be able to access this token in most of the jurisdictions. However, the exchange clearly mentioned that the residents of New York City will not yet be able to get access to this digital token at the beginning.

Coinbase said that as soon as GRT’s sufficient supply is built on the platform, it will launch trading on its order books including GRT-BTC, GRT-GBP, GRT-USD, and GRT-GBP. The launch of trading on these orders book, however, will be taking place in three separate phases. The first phase is the post-only. While on the other hand, limit-only and full trading are the second and third phases of this process respectively.

Apart from the Coinbase Pro exchange, the world’s largest digital currency exchange Binance has also listed The Graph token on its trading platform. The deposits and trading have already been allowed starting from the 17th of December. The trading of GRT is open to the users of Binance for three trading pairs including GRT/BTC, GRT/ETH, and GRT/USDT. The Graph token has seen the listing on these major cryptocurrency exchanges shortly after the launch of The Graph mainnet which went live on Dec 17.

While talking about The Graph in the blog post, the United States-based crypto exchange said:

“The Graph (GRT) is an Ethereum token that powers The Graph, a decentralized protocol for indexing and querying data from blockchains. Just as Google indexes the web, The Graph indexes blockchain data from networks like Ethereum and Filecoin. This data is grouped into open APIs called subgraphs that anyone can query.”

Coinbase has also clarified that the GRT token is not present on Coinbase.com at the moment.
